Martha Cooley dropped by the foyer to discuss her work, how she doesn't limit herself to one genre and the importance of honoring the connection between the mind, the body, and momentum for a writer and for all those living in 2018.

Check out her bio and info:

Martha Cooley is the author of two novels—The Archivist, a national bestseller published in eleven foreign markets, and Thirty-Three Swoons—and a memoir, Guesswork. She co-translated Antonio Tabucchi’s Time Ages in a Hurry. A Professor of English at Adelphi University, she has published short fiction, essays, and co-translations in numerous literary magazines.

Upcoming publications include literary essays--"The Mixed Meanings of the Missing Girl," in the Los Angeles Review of Books on Dec. 3.

"Virginia Woolf's Capture of Consciousness," will be in the The Writers Chronicle, the journal of the Associated Writing Programs (AWP), also in December. A third essay, "Out of Hand," is a personal essay; it'll appear  this spring in AGNI.
