Kelly R. Hayden dropped by the foyer to discuss how her travels inform her life, why she doesn't despise the NYC subway, Michael Jackson(!)*, & why she loves being an archivist who focuses on the NY downtown scene at NYU.

Kelly R. Haydon is an audiovisual archivist primarily serving artists and underprivileged communities. Currently, she works for the NYU Division of Libraries as an Audiovisual Archivist, curating and making accessible the film and video collections related to the Downtown arts scene. A proud member of the all-volunteer, non-profit organization XFR Collective, she has also served the audiovisual collections of Anthology Film Archives, Third World Newsreel, and the Institute for African Studies in Accra, Ghana. In a previous life, she was a writer and director in film and theatre.
